What is a Domicile Address?
A domicile address — also known as a registered address or Sitzadresse — is the official legal address of your Swiss company as recorded in the cantonal commercial registry. Every Swiss company, regardless of its size or activities, must maintain a registered address in Switzerland.
The domicile address is where official correspondence is sent: letters from the commercial registry, tax authorities, social insurance agencies, courts, and other government bodies. It is also the address that appears on your company's registration certificate and extract from the commercial registry.
For international founders and companies that do not maintain a physical office in Switzerland, a domicile address service provides the legally required Swiss address without the cost and commitment of leasing commercial real estate.
Who Needs a Domicile Address?
- International founders incorporating a Swiss GmbH or AG
- Foreign companies registering a Swiss branch office
- Holding companies and IP companies without operational staff in Switzerland
- Service providers and consultants who work remotely
- E-commerce businesses that do not need physical retail space
- Any Swiss company that wants to separate its registered address from its operating address
What is Included?
- Registered business address in Switzerland
- Acceptance of all official and statutory mail
- Company name on the physical letterbox
- Mail collection, sorting, and notification
- Digital scan or physical forwarding (based on your preference)
- Use of address on your website, business cards, and letterhead
- Address listed in the Swiss commercial registry
- Annual confirmation of domicile for audit and banking purposes
Mail Handling
Mail sent to your domicile address is collected, sorted, and processed daily. For statutory and official mail (from government bodies, courts, banks), we notify you the same day and follow your standing instructions.
You can choose between digital scanning — where mail is opened, scanned in high resolution, and delivered via encrypted email — or physical forwarding by courier to any address worldwide. You can also mix: scans for routine items, physical forwarding for originals that must be kept.
Legal & Practical Limitations
A domicile address is a legal address, not a physical office. It is not suitable as the place where business operations are conducted, employees work, or client meetings take place. For these needs, a separate commercial lease or our virtual office with meeting room access is required.
- Official and statutory business mail is accepted and forwarded — correspondence from the commercial registry, tax authorities, social insurance authorities, courts, banks, and other business institutions.
- Registered mail requiring personal signature can be accepted with an additional power of attorney.
- Small parcels may be accepted, but parcel forwarding is charged separately and may involve higher forwarding costs.
- Personal mail for directors, shareholders, or private individuals is not included in the standard domicile service.
- The service is intended for company-related correspondence only.
- Working places and meeting rooms are available upon request at Heinzenbergstrasse 1, 7421 Summaprada, Switzerland.

Is the domicile address accepted by Swiss banks?+
Yes. Swiss banks routinely accept a domicile address as the company's registered address for account opening purposes. The address appears in the commercial registry and on your registration certificate, which banks require as part of their due diligence.
What mail is accepted and what is not?+
Official and statutory business mail — letters from the commercial registry, tax authorities, social insurance authorities, courts, and banks — is accepted and forwarded. Registered mail requiring personal signature can be accepted with an additional power of attorney. Small parcels may be accepted but forwarding is charged separately.
